How It Works

Three simple steps. No account needed, no hidden fees.

01

Find a Yard

Search the map for secure yards near your next job or closest to home. Check photos, compare prices and read about security. Take your time and shortlist what looks right.

02

Book Your Yard

Many yards are instant book: pay through Stripe and you're confirmed straight away. Others let you send a request to the host first to check availability and sort out access.

03

Drop It Off

Roll up at the agreed time and your spot is ready. Your booking and payment records are in your account, and your host is a message away if anything comes up.

For Storers

Stop Hunting. Start Parking.

Whether you're a sole trader with a single excavator or a fleet operator with a dozen semis, StorageFinder takes the hassle out of finding secure, affordable storage across Australia.

Spaces from around $30/week for a garage bay. Prices vary by size, location and access. Sign up free to browse.

Common questions

How much does it cost to store?

Prices are set by hosts and vary by space type, size and location. A garage bay typically runs from around $30–$120/week. You'll see the full pricing on each listing before you book.

Is it free to list a space?

Yes. Listing is completely free. We take a 15% commission only when a booking is completed. If you don't get booked, you pay nothing.

Do I need council approval to list my space?

In most cases, no. Private storage on residential land is generally considered incidental use and doesn't require planning approval. It varies by council and how frequently vehicles come and go. See our Council Regulations Guide for a detailed breakdown.

What happens if something is damaged?

Every booking includes Booking Support, a platform-facilitated process for genuine damage and theft disputes. Both sides complete arrival and departure photos (The Handover), which create a timestamped record if anything is disputed.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes. Each listing has a cancellation policy set by the host: flexible, moderate or strict. The policy is clearly shown before you book so there are no surprises.

When does a host get paid?

Payouts are released to the host's linked bank account within 24 hours of a storer checking in. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Can I access my vehicle or gear any time?

Access depends on the listing. Some spaces are 24/7, others are business hours or by arrangement. The access type is shown on each listing. Check it before you book.
